Absorbable suture made from polyglycolic acid. Strong in the first weeks after application — ideal for internal sutures. Multifilament, absorbed by hydrolysis: complete absorption in 56–70 days, 50% strength loss after 21 days. Used in general surgery, ophthalmology, gynecology and soft tissue surgery.
